Product Description

Harald Holz Complete Works (17) of a 'problem thinker' (following N. Hartmann) did not convince me even then, and his problematization of ultimate justification even less so. - Thus it took many years and decades until I dared to question the principle of contradiction itself (as it was somewhat casually formulated at the time), this time however not out of an excess of problem consciousness, but insofar as my engagement with it had opened up fundamentally new horizons for me, on the basis of which I myself had become capable of ridding myself of much old, though at the time valuable, ballast.

Additional Information

From the Preface: To say that the following reflections are based on decades of contemplation would probably hit an important point of personal experience. - Beyond that, some thematic groupings of subject matter also seem to have found their way to each other here. - Finally, from a certain readiness to give account on my part, something seems to have grown like the feeling of having done justice to my personal destiny and its potential for meaning with this intellectual work of mine toward the end of life. Enough of such retrospectives. – The following reflections - so it seems to me today – perhaps form a certain breakthrough (or breakout?) from a certain enclosure, delimitation, in which our thinking has found itself for a very long time. The new thus also means liberation, but at the same time naturally also poses the demand to show oneself equal to it. – This has always been a demand upon myself since my first professional connection to philosophy. – At the time of my doctoral work at the then Bonn philosophical seminar A, my 'doctoral father' Gottfried Martin's style of a 'problem thinker' (following N.
