Betriebswirtschaftslehre ist diejenige Verhaltenswissenschaft, die optimale Entscheidungen zur Einkommenserzielung und Risikosteuerung untersucht. Die Frage nach optimalen Entscheidungen betrifft dabei sowohl Probleme individuellen als auch kollektiven Verhaltens. Eine Reihe von betriebswirtschaftlichen Problemen betrifft nur den Entscheidungsträger selbst und kann daher ohne Berücksichtigung anderer Akteure analysiert werden (sog. Robinson Crusoe-Ökonomie). Das wirtschaftliche Zusammenleben in modernen Gesellschaften ist jedoch durch hohe Arbeitsteilung gekennzeichnet. Daraus ergeben sich Probleme der Verhaltensabstimmung, die ebenfalls einer betriebswirtschaftlichen Analyse zugänglich sind. Im Blickpunkt der Veranstaltung stehen zwei zentrale Mechanismen der Verhaltensabstimmung, nämlich der Marktmechanismus und die Verhaltensabstimmung in Unternehmen. Zentrales Merkmal des Marktmechanismus ist die Gleichberechtigung der Tauschpartner, das Verhalten wird ausschließlich über die Tauschbedingungen („Preise“) gesteuert. Dem steht die Verhaltensabstimmung in Unternehmen gegenüber, die auf hierarchischen Weisungsbeziehungen beruht. In der Veranstaltung wird der Frage nachgegangen, unter welchen Bedingungen welche Art der marktlichen oder unternehmerischen Verhaltensabstimmung jeweils zweckmäßiger ist. With the year 1930, the struggle for survival of democracy in Germany had already begun. The global economic crisis triggered by the stock market crash in the USA hit Germany particularly hard due to high debt and reparation payments and severely worsened people's living conditions. Due to the dynamics of political development, citizens felt overwhelmed in resisting the extreme parties and groups. The violent behavior of the newly emerging National Socialists should have been a warning signal. The story about the childhood of a boy growing up during this time aims to recall how the children's generation experienced and coped with the upheaval of civilization. This includes showing the great contrast between a still peaceful period in the few years of peace and the sudden change with the outbreak of war, and its effect on people. The city boy was away from home with his family for more than half the time during the war. The school education in the miniature schools of the provinces was correspondingly catastrophic. The minority status of children was often exploited by the authorities and also in families without much ado and partly out of necessity. The post-war period was then formative for the boy. Suddenly, from one day to the next, independence was demanded. To survive, action had to be taken. The youth group gave the girls and boys life assistance, personality was respected, the development of young people was promoted. The long overdue currency reform finally brought the turn for the better. The way was clear for a new beginning and the boy also seized his chance.
