Missionaries as Transmitters of Chinese Classics to Europe
Abstract
The thesis of this article is that the Jesuit missionaries in China made a significant contribution to the development of Sinology in Europe, as well as to the Enlightenment, through their translations from the Chinese language.

Five years after the establishment of the Republic of China and the abdication of the child emperor Puyi, General Zhang Xun, a supporter of the Qing dynasty, attempted to revive the defunct monarchy in an unsuccessful coup.
