Hanxue (汉学) - Journal of Sinology

Scope

Hanxue welcomes original scholarly articles in the following fields:

• Classical and Modern Chinese Literature
• Chinese Philosophy and Intellectual History
• Traditional Chinese Culture Studies
• Chinese Linguistics and Philology
• Chinese-Foreign Cultural Exchange History
• Comparative Literature and Cross-cultural Studies

Submission Requirements

• Language: Chinese or English
• Length: 8,000-15,000 words (Chinese) or 5,000-10,000 words (English)
• Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
• Citation Style: Chicago Manual of Style
• Abstract: 200-300 words in both Chinese and English
• Keywords: 3-5 keywords in both Chinese and English

Review Process

1. Initial Review: Editorial office preliminary review (1-2 weeks)
2. Peer Review: Double-blind peer review (6-8 weeks)
3. Editorial Decision: Final decision by editorial board (2 weeks)
4. Revision: Author revision and proofreading (as needed)
5. Publication: Typesetting and online publication
